The K12 Global Classroom delivers high quality, current and meaningful curriculum-linked education resources that educators can download, photocopy, and distribute to their students, completely free.
Our content uses real-world subject matter to create an engaging thematic focus that is built on core education strands and maximizes interaction by supporting research-based theories and practices such as Multiple Intelligence Theory (Armstrong, 2000; Gardner, 2006) learning styles, Bloom's Taxonomy (1984), effective instructional strategies and cooperative learning (Bennett & Rolheiser, 2006; Gibbs 2002; Johnson & Johnson, 2001). Additionally all resources include effective and varied assessment and evaluation resources.
The classroom-ready activities have been designed to encourage and nurture creativity in students. Sir Ken Robinson (2001) argues that educators must foster creativity in their students because, as he states, “Throughout the world, companies and organizations are trying to compete in a world of economic and technological change that is moving faster than ever. They urgently need people who are creative, innovative and flexible.”
Whether we’re tackling childhood obesity through mathematics or teaching equity, diversity and social justice issues using arts and culture, K12 Global and our corporate partners:
